诺拉（琪塔·昂罗 Zita Hanrot 饰）和她的妈妈（朱迪思·卡恩 Judith Caen 饰）一起驾车出门，行驶在宽阔的公路上。妈妈专心地开着车，而诺拉则因为漫长的旅途感到昏昏欲睡。最终，她们停下来，附近的球场上有几个男人正在烧烤，孩子们围绕着他们跑来跑去。很快，她们接到通知，要求2点15分前来探监入口集合。女人们一个接一个地拿着篮子走进了探监等候室，她们在等待的过程中相互交谈，谈论着彼此的情况，甚至讨论裙子的样式。 在探监室外面，有一名女性因为在预约名单上找不到自己的名字而心生不满，她大声抗议，执意要进去，但被警卫拦阻了下来。她们在狭窄的休息室内等待，天气异常炎热。诺拉和妈妈在监狱里见到了各种各样的女性访客，每个人身上都承载着独特的故事。通过与这些人交谈，诺拉逐渐加深了对彼此的理解，同时也让彼此的内心得到了宣泄和释放。
